Is it an asthma attack?!
Question:
Is it an asthma attack?
A while a ago I was laying in bed reading and then the words got kind of blurry and my head felt like it was spinning, so I tried to take deep breaths but my lungs and throat felt tight and constricted, so I took little, short, quick breaths. Gradually I started coughing and 20 or thirty minutes later I was able to take deep breaths easier. I've been coughing on and off both day and night ever since, so I went back on my inhaler, even though I showed no signs of my asthma for eleven years. I'm wondering if I actually had an asthma attack and if I did, why did it just suddenly show up?
Answers:
If you haven't had signs of asthma for 11 years, how old is your inhaler? Those things do have expirations dates, you know.
The only way to really know for sure is to see a doctor. It could have been an asthma attack, or a panic attack, or an allergic reaction to something, or any number of things.
