Does blowing warm air from a blow dryer really help eliminate or alleviate fluid!

Question:

Does blowing warm air from a blow dryer really help eliminate or alleviate fluid in the middle ear?

I have done research and have found that there is really nothing you can do to cure a middle ear infection, antibiotics don't make a difference. Someone told me to use a blow dryer for my ears but it's fluid in the MIDDLE ear, doesn't make sense to me...has anyone tried this..if so, does it work? Any suggestions on how to treat the symptoms...I am REALLY sick to my stomach due to my equalibrum being affected.

Answers:

I am inclined to say no, because due to your ear drum and the curvature of the canal, it may be difficult/impossible to have any air reach there. And even if it does, you'd have to be careful not to have it blow too hard as to not damage the delicate insides of your ears.
