Let me clear something up here...are you talking about a rabies vaccination BEFORE or AFTER you are bitten by a potential carrier of the virus?? If you get a vaccination so that you can handle animals that might be rabid..it is just like any other vaccine...a series of three shots in the upper arm. If you have been bitten and have never been vaccinated...then you might have to get the vaccine injected into the wound area and in the thigh or buttocks. They are also expensive...about $200.00 a pop...or should I say "jab". All you people that answered are thinking of the dark ages of medicine where once upon a time people did have to get the vaccine in the stomach...medicine has improved much since then!
