My son was kicked off the kidney transplant list for wanting a second opinion. !

Question:

My son was kicked off the kidney transplant list for wanting a second opinion. Is there any Patient Advocate?

We believe it was simply because of the transplant coordinators personal dislike. What resources are available

Answers:

You can be on more than one list. My husband was given 3 different hospitals to choose from here in Houston. You might want to discuss this situation with your social worker. He or she may be able to intervene. The National Kidney Foundation may also be a resource.

Before you do that, you may ask to speak with the hospital administrator; they may have some say in the situation, I'm not sure.

God Bless and I hope you get the help you need.
