How long does it take to get results of a blood test back?!
Question: How long does it take to get results of a blood test back!?
I've had some health issues lately and finally went to the doctor yesterday morning!. I was sent to the hospital for an x-ray and blood tests(mainly for diabetes)!. All my test were done by noon!. I was pretty sure I was told they would call me in the afternoon if there was something serious, but nobody called yesterday!. So now I'm sitting here again today waiting for the phone to ring!. Is it possible that it took longer than a day to call me!? Should I still be worried!? Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some tests they can do the same day, some tests take a week!. If they said they would contact you in the afternoon if it were serious and they didn't, the it must not be something serious!. If you are really conserned you can always call the doctor that the results are sent to and ask!. However, I would say it isn't something serious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
depending on how busy the lab is it might take a week to get the results back!. I really don't think they said afternoon!
Do not stress over this!. If you do have diabetes, stressing will just make your glucose levels go up and up!.
If you don't get a call from your doctors office in a week, call them and ask for a copy of the results!. Get that anyway when you go in so you can start a file for your own benefit so you can see what is working and what isn't!.
