Do finger & toenails completely burn up when someone's remains are cremated?!
Question: Do finger & toenails completely burn up when someone's remains are cremated!?
A documentary on television discussed cremation in one part of its program; stating that once the cremation-process is completed, the bones still have to be crushed or ground to ashes because human-bone will not completely burn if at all!. Is this also true for the finger & toenails!? No- I'm not trying to be morbid over "The Holidays"!. I have just been curious about this for a while now!. Thank you to all who answer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
Yes, they are completely burned up!. Nails are made of proteins, which burn easily, especially at the high temperature that cremation involves!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Can't answer about nails, but replacement body parts, stainless steel knee replacements, for example, will not burn, and will be put in the containers along with the ashes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
