Answers:
First, a resting heart rate of more than 100 bpm in healthy adults is not "normal". The following are accepted as "normal":
For resting heart rate:
newborn infants; 100 to 160 beats per minute
children 1 to 10 years; 70 to 120 beats per minute
children over 10 and adults (including seniors); 60 to 100 beats per minute
well-trained athletes; 40 to 60 beats per minute

Second, Prilosec® alone is not expected to cause a fast heart rate (Tachycardia). However, it can interact with many Rx and OTC drugs and Herbal and Nutritional supplement's. See this link for more information:

Many things can cause a fast heart rate on a temporary basis. If the problem continues, the best answer is to see your doctor. If you begin to see other problems or symptoms at the same time, a visit to the ER would probably be wise. Other things you might watch for are:
- Feeling Light headed
- Feeling unusually tired or sleepy
- Feeling unusually excitable
- Body aches
- Numbness or pain (especially in the left arm, shoulder, upper back, neck, jaw or face)
- Diarrhea
- Dark or bloody stool (bloody stool is always a cause to seek emergency medical attention)
- Upset stomach
- Anything else that is unusual or not "normal"
The link in the source box below will provide you good information on Prilosec®.
Hope this helps you.
