There is no way to get rid of this until your body heals itself!. In the meantime, you can take tylenol or ibuprofen on a regular basis, an over the counter decongestant or cough medication, depending on whether head congestion or coughing is bothering you the most; rest as much as possible, increase your water intake daily and run a humidifier in the bedroom where you sleep!.
