Systolic/diastolic blood pressure very close to each other.?!

Question: Systolic/diastolic blood pressure very close to each other!.!?
my aged father has irregular pressure 135/125, i!.e!., systolic and diastolic very close to each other!. He feels fatigue and distress!. He is consuming medicine such as propronolol, aricept, buspar, citalopram etc!. Is there any way to help him attain a normal ratio!? Urgently waiting for professional advice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
propranolol is the reason why his systolic is low!. but that is not the problem!. the problem is the diastolic that is very high!. The atherosclerosis could be the reason (due to his age) and propranolol is keeping the heart to beat faster and therefore, his systolic to go up!. He needs a Ca++ channel blocker to ease off the sclerosis of the vessels!. DO NOT discontinue the propranolol on your own!. the drug must be reduced slowly or he might have problems!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, -there certainly is!.
Persuade him to GRADUALLY wean himself off Propranalol as soon as possible!. The side-effects are exactly as you describe!.

And look up on Google the results of work on the effects of beta blockers carried out by Dr!. P!.J Devereaux, of Canada, who estimates that up to about 800,000 patients may have died as a result of taking beta-blockers after cardiac surgery!.

Also please refer to my answer to another (still-open) question referring to Propranolol and hypertension!. It's all set down there!.
High diastolic pressures are usually associated with so-called 'malignant hypertension' and renal failure!. But do bear in mind that the figure itself is not real!. However, if it's changed recently -risen suddenly that is, then that IS real, and must be regarded as threatening until the cause is determined!.

But under no circumstances is the use of beta-blockers justified in his case, and will certainly reduce his recovery chances!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
