Lung cancer? Need insurance?!

Question:

Lung cancer? Need insurance?

My fiance has lung cancer - never received treatment for two years due to never being able to afford health insurance. Any cheap full coverage or good health insurance out there?

Answers:

It is highly unlikely that your fiance has had untreated lung cancer for two years. Can you clarify his situation?

No private insurance company will enroll a person with known lung cancer unless he has possibly been hired at a new job with company wide medical insurance.

A biopsy proved diagnosis of lung cancer would entitle your boyfriend to free care for his lung cancer. Go to any large teaching hospital and ask to be admitted for shortness of breath due to untreated lung cancer. Then politely refuse to leave until treated. The hospital might send him a bill but if he has lung cancer he probably does not need to worry about ultimately having to pay the bill.

If he has been working regularly he would also qualify for Social Security Disability and possibly medical coverage through Medicare. Apply here.

good luck to you both
