Sudden acne at 23?

I'm 23 years old and I've never really had acne. About 2 months ago, all of a sudden, I woke up with red spots all over my face. I can't get anything to make it go away. I've NEVER had acne before (a zit here and there..but nothing severe). My skin was super clear!
My question is, can you just get acne out of nowhere? What do you think will work? Dermatologist put me on strong antibiotics, which gave me a reaction. I'm using proactiv right now...I know it's acne because if I pop it, blood comes out..more blood than puss. Please help!!

No possibility of being pregnant.

I got it to about the same time in life it sucked! I too was put on meds but the never worked. I tried Proactive and it worked wounders, If you follow it. I would get some and try it cheeper then meds and It works.
