Answers:
hello ,
In normal conditions , blood sugar rarely exceeds 140mg/dl (up to 145) after heavy , carbohydrate-rich meals ,
Some abnormal conditions like being hospitalized due an acute illness or trauma , nondiabetics may have high readings (above 140 mg/dl) for very short period (hours) and that is called transient hyperglycemia
some drugs may raise your blood sugar above normal ranges as steroids !.
out of these rare conditons blood sugar in healthy subjects is always below 150 mg/dl
some normal values for blood sugar :
Fasting blood sugar : 70-99mg/dl , prediabetes :100-125 , diabetes : more than or equal 126mg/dl
random blood sugar :70-125mg/dl
postprandial blood sugar :70-144 mg/dl
