What is the survival rate for stage 4 lymphoma?!


Question: What is the survival rate for stage 4 lymphoma!?
I have stage 4 lymphoma follicular in the bone marrow and would like to know is it possible to get out of the bone marrow and the survival rate!. Scared in Oklahoma !. I have had 3 treatments so far and I;m wondering if I should stay away from sugar is there any truth in thatWww@Answer-Health@Com

While this is just basic stuff, your age, life habits, environment, fitness, and diet can have an effect on how long you will survive or if you will!. Lymphoma is possible to combat using bone marrow transplants, but the process itself is a very complicated one and your body may also fight the transplant!.

As for the sugar, unless it would have some sort of adverse effect with medication, I don't think it'd really effect your survival unless you were swallowing down cupcakes by the dozen, which isn't good for your health irregardless!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was just diagnosed with stage 3S lymphoma!. It is a very scary time but it is very important for you to lean on the people around you!. All of the doctors that I have talked to have told me that the prognosis for lymphoma is good, and better than any other type of cancer!. They can get it out of the bone marrow and I think it is done with a bone marrow transplant!. You are going to get through this it's not even a question!.

Lymphoma = the cream of the crap!. :)

Follicular lymphoma is a commonly indolent lymphoma, which means it will take long time to cause damage but will also be a little more resistant to chemotherapy as compared to other moderately to aggressive kinds of lymphoma!. The management and prognosis depends on multiple factors- known as prognostic index!.
since you are on therapy I suppose ur on targeted therapy rituximab with fludarabine based combination chemotherapy!.
