You could!. However, risk of transmission from an infected woman to a man is lower than risk of transmission from an infected man to another man or to a woman!. You should get tested, though!. It could take up to 3 months, or in very rare cases, up to 6 months, for someone to test positive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Firstly, ignore everyone who told you to get tested right away because nothing will show up!.

Second, if you had sex less than 72 hours ago then you can get an emergency PEP treatment if you want!. If you have been infected a PEP treatment may be able to stop the infection but the longer you wait less chance it has of being effective!. Someone else posted very good information about PEP treatments so i won't elaborate!.

Believe it or not though it's actually fairly hard to catch HIV!. If she is on antiretroviral medication for HIV and if you had safer sex chances that you have it are very very low!. Also the fact that you are a guy also puts you at a lower risk!. Furthermore if you are circumcised you are at an even lower risk!.

If there is time and getting the PEP treatment will make you feel better than do that (although just a warning, I had a friend who had to get it and you will be in for a rough month, it's harsh on your body)!. Otherwise get tested in 3 months!. If you get flu like symptoms without all the snot in a few weeks that may mean you are infected!.

If the worst happens and you are infected, remember that HIV is not like it was in the 80's!. The medication today is good and getting better all the time!. If managed properly you can live for many decades!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You definitely could have contracted HIV, but the odds of transmission from a female to a male through vaginal intercourse are actually quite small!. The virus is passed on through bodily fluids, so in all likelihood her fluids only contacted you externally unless they entered through a cut or sore!.

I'm sure you're terrified and it won't do me much good telling you not to worry!. That girl sounds scary, though, putting others at risk!. At the very minimum, always use a condom!. And please realize you're still playing Russian roulette, since I've known people with AIDS who never had sex without condoms and never experienced condom breakage!. Best to get to know your partner very well before swapping fluids!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It will depend on what you did: oral sex, 69, black kiss, anal, vaginal, etc!. Also if she is under medical treatment and her cell count is very low or undetectable!. To be in the safe side I suggest you ask an expert on HIV (Sexologist, internist, infectious decease doctor, etc) Avoid having unsafe sex with her until you get your blood test results!.

Good luck and God Blesses!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you were exposed to HIV then!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

If you seek medical care right away, you may be able to take medicines that may help you from getting infected with HIV!. This is called PEP, or Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (prophylaxis is a drug that prevents sickness)!.

PEP has been used for people who come in contact with HIV by accident - like a nurse getting stuck by a used needle!. Now, PEP can be used for more than just on-the-job accidents!. Sometimes this is called nPEP!. The "n" in nPEP stands for "non-occupational" which means that you did not get exposed to HIV at work!. PEP (or nPEP) is only for people who were just exposed to HIV and do not already have it!.

When do I start PEP!?
If you have been exposed to HIV, go to a hospital or clinic right away!.

You should start PEP within 2 hours of your exposure and generally no later than 36 hours after your exposure!.

What should I know before I start PEP!?
When you go to the hospital or clinic, you will be asked to have an HIV test!. Taking an HIV test at this time will let you know if you already have HIV or not!. It is your choice whether or not to take the HIV test!.

There may be a cost for PEP and it may be covered by your health insurance!. Ask your provider about costs for PEP before starting it!.

PEP combines three HIV drugs (pills) that you take for four weeks!. Some HIV drugs may not be safe for pregnant women!. Be sure to let the doctor or health care worker know if you may be pregnant so that they know which drugs to give you!.

Does PEP work!?
While PEP has not been proven to work for all high-risk exposures, scientist showed that for on-the-job accidents - like when a nurse is stuck by a needle that was infected with HIV - is stops HIV infection about 80% of the time (or, 8 out of every 10 times it is used)!. So PEP may also be helpful for other types of exposure!.

What should I do after I start PEP!?
You need to see a doctor during the four weeks you are on PEP and again at the end of the four weeks when you are done with the PEP medicines!. YOu will be tested for HIV again after the four weeks!. Ask your health care provider for a number to call with questions about your PEP treatment!.

While you are on PEP, and after you are done, be sure to protect yourself and others from HIV infection!.

Avoid sex or use condoms each time you have sex!.
Do not shoot drugs!. If you do, do not share needles or syringes!. You can get new, clean needles or syringes at some drug stores or through a syringe exchange program!. Do not breastfeed!.

Yes so I hope you used a condom cuz if you didn't then there is an 80% chance that you got it now!. you will have to get checked asap and then go in again in three months to get retested because if it doesn't show up now it can def!. show up in three months time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you didn't use a condom there's a huge possibility!. That would win you a huge Darwin award!.If you did you're probably ok but still get tested! I am not jealous of your situation!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Please specify if you used protection!. It is likely for it to pass but not as likely as if you were having intercourse with a man!. For your sake, get tested!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Did you use protection!? If so, you are extremely likely safe!. If not, fortunately guys don't catch it from women as easily as vice/versa!. But get yourself tested!Www@Answer-Health@Com
