Hormonal injections Zolodex, taken before, and during radiotherapy for protate cancer?
I had the hormone treatment for a period of 9 months, prior and during radiotherapy. To anyone who has undergone this treatment, how long, on average is it before libido returns following cessation of hormone treatment.As an alternative have you found any medications useful ?.

Unfortunately, the libido may return but the ability to act on it may not.
Radiation has a moderate rate of causing erectile dysfunction. The radation can/will damage the nerves running along side of the prostate that cause an erection.
I'm hoping that it doesn't happen to you but that risk should have been explained to you by your urologist.
