Answers:
If you have a reasonable idea of what might be causing your fever (eg: coming down with a cold) no worries!. Just be sure to follow the correct dose for the Tylenol if you take it - as little as a single double-dose can cause serious liver damage!. FYI - According to my doc, Tylenol is more effective at reducing fevers, Motrin/Advil are more effective for reducing pain!.
If you don't know what is causing your fever, it doesn't seem to be going down when you take Tylenol or Advil or you feel extreme tiredness and lethargic, you should see your doc!. Persistant fever and extreme lethargy are often symptoms of a bacterial infection requiring antibiotics!. (but remember, antibiotics will *not* help a viral infection)
If you had a fever last night that came and went in the night, there is a chance that you got overheated!. If you had a mild fever and felt cold, then bundled up with extra balnkets and warm socks, you can actually make your fever get worse!.
I recommend that if you are still feeling out if it today and running a fever, go see your doc!. At the very least, they can run a blood test to check your white blood cell count and see if you have an infection going somewhere or if you just have a virus and need some rest!.
Good luck - I hope you feel better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sounds like you have to the flu!. if your fever spikes again during the night take about 1-2 tylenol!. it should help keep the fever down!. if you start getting above 103 or more go to the hospital immediately!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
