Ive been getting stys for 2 years, and each one lasts months, Help?
For the past two years, whenever I get a sty it lasts months, even with hot compresses, and as soon as it does clear up, I get another one within 48 hours. Ive been to a doctor about it, it costed me 250 dollars and all he said was that I had to put hot compresses on it otherwise I would need surgery to remove the sty. Any suggestions?

the reason for most stys is bacteria in your eye.
my brother's eyes produce more than the average amount of eye boogers, so some of it gets trapped inside his eye and then he gets a sty. we took him to our healthcare provider, kaiser, paid the $10 co-pay and he was prescribed some sort of eyedrops. and within a few days, the sty disappeared. and we have been cleaning his eye dilligently and the sty hasn't came back.
but i suggest you go to a different doctor. it should not cost you $250 to inquire about your eye. and you definately don't need surgery.
