Ringworm is not a worm-true... but it is not a bacteria under your skin either... it is a fungus on top of your skin.
If you have just the one.... get some clear nail polish and put it on it... it smothers it. If you have more or it is persistent go to the doc and they will prescribe an ointment and if bad enough or in your hair they will give you a pill also.
Big thing... wash sheets cover the rash.... ring worm is highly contagious and you can transfer it on yourself very easily.
Nail polish worked very well on me and one of my boys... the other boy had to get medicine. The daycare let a stray dog in for the kids to pet and it had ringworm, lovely huh?
