What happens to insulin if you accidentally freeze it?!
Question: What happens to insulin if you accidentally freeze it!?
i put my bag of insulin in the freezer by mistake yesterday for about 2 hours!. i take the R and the N, the R was almost empty and the N was almost a new bottle!. when i took it out it wasn't frozen, but it did freeze a little after it hit the warmer air!. the bottle of N turned to ice, not the whole bottle, for about 3 minutes and it quickly turned back to normalWww@Answer-Health@Com

It may not be 100% bad but it will not be as effective!. I would throw it out to be safe!. N in particular is fussy if it gets too cold!. It separates out more and when you agitate it to mix it again, it doesn't mix well!. I have taken a bottle where this happened back to the pharmacy and they swapped it for a new bottle!. You could try that!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
