Question: When you get a physical, do they generally give you an STD test or do you have to ask for one!? !?
I'm interested in getting an STD test!. My roommate SWEARS you get one automatically done with your other swabs and stuff, but I've never heard anything about it!. I would think they would tell you if they were testing for STDs!.!.!. Should I just call and ask for one!?

Umm no they usually don't test for STD's unless you ask for it!. The main cause of people getting serious conditions from STD's is because they are embrassed to ask the doctor!. It's a part of life once your sexually active you usually go to get one every 3 months or so!. Sometimes they do test for STD's but its not that focused on them!. Ask for one!. No, STD tests are NOT automatically given!. If you want one, you have to ASK!. It is very important that you do this for your health!. And please remember to ALWAYS use protection if you want to avoid the risk of getting an STD!.
I believe all insurance companies will cover part if not all of STD testing!. You will have to ask about your insurer, you may have to pay for part of it (a small fee)
