Growing thyroid nodule that was previously ruled benign.?!

Question:

Growing thyroid nodule that was previously ruled benign.?

I have a right side thyroid nodule that was discovered in 2004 through routine MRI for multiple sclerosis (which I have). Over the past 8 months the nodule continues to grow and I have become increasingly more hoarse in my voice, have some swallowing issues (which I thought may have been related to MS) and have some bad neck pain on the right side of the neck (which I thought was MS, too).

My past history of the nodule is that is was benign. I never had a thyroid blood tests come back as abnormal and I have never been on any synthroid, etc.

I am realizing that these three things are most likely due to thyroid after some advice from an ER doc who told me to get to my endo asap. I am headed to my endo on Jul 11th.

Is there a high probability that this is now cancerous?

Answers:

well do you have MS? i do and i also have a weird thyroid thing going on, they said right lobe is swollen, and started me on synthroid, they found the swelling due to ultra sound, and the whole reason i went to doc was because it feels like there is a pill stuck in my throat, a lump in my throat, do you have this too? and do you have MS?
