Stitches....?!

Stitches....?
I had surgery yesterday and i have six stitches...
Does it hurt to have them removed. And what do they do?
Please help.....

My dad is a doctor and he has stitched me up plenty of times. It does not hurt to have them removed at all. All they do is cut the knot that holds them together, you don't even feel it. The stitches are so small they just pull out and wa-la your done. It is incredibly simple and easy and not painful what so ever.
