Swimming after a skin biopsy?!

Question:

Swimming after a skin biopsy?

I had a skin biopsy done on my leg on June 15th. I told the doctor at the time that I start a camp job on Monday July 2 and would be in the pool every day. At the time she said that I should be fine to swim by then. I am a little nervous to go in the water less than a month after the biopsy. I'm checking the wound site daily to replace the bandage and clean it, and it looks like it's getting better but of course it is in no way healed. I have to pay $40 to see her, I will if I have to but I'd like to avoid it. Is there a recommended time frame before swimming? Or something I can look for in the wound?

Answers:

How big and deep is it? Has a scab formed over it?

I had a biopsy done June 8 and went swimming June 23. The scab actually got drier and fell off soon after I swam.
