Question: Blood sugar of 220!? Could this be diabetes!?
My mom got her blood tests back today and her blood sugar level is 220!.!.!.very high!. Her cholesterol is very high too!. Does she have diabetes!? And am I now at risk for getting it!?

She would have to have a glucose tolerance test to diagnose that!. It is were you fast for 8 hours before the test to see if your body is producing an adequate amount of insulin!. it definitely sounds like she might be on her way to developing diabetes if she doesn't already have it!. Yes, you could be at risk to!. There are some genetics in play!. You can lower your risk by eating healthier, watching your weight, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

she could do, if she is a bit overweight it maybe type 2 in which you wont have a risk of getting it unless you are overweight as well, if type 1 then yes u may have a risk in getting itWww@Answer-Health@Com
