Am I anorexic or not?!


Question: Am I anorexic or not!?
Im 13 years old and I weigh 6 stone!.
I think thats way too much and I would really like to be 5 stone!.
Im about average height and everyone says Im very skinny!.
My legs are so skinny they dont fit into my ugg boots without 3 pairs of thick socks!.
I dont like food that much because it makes me feel a bit sick!. I have allways been a picky eater even when I was younger!.
All my family and friends tell me that I need to eat more, but I try and I just dont get any skinnyer!.
For breakfeast I have a smothie and nothing else!. For lunch I have juicy water and an apple or a bit of a salad sandwhich!. For dinner my mum gives me a plate full of food but I only eat half because I get ful very easily!.
I think that Im fat because my thighs are very large and when I look in the mirror I feel embaressed!. I take dance classes and everytime I go I can see my reflection through the mirror and I look VERY fat!. My arms are very skinny and fragile and so are my, hips and feet because my bones really stick out!. I very healthy and allways eat fruit and vegetables and only sometimes have a few crisps!. I like sports a lot and I do it twice a week!. Im very self conscious about my body and I feel embaressesd because Im scared people will see me and think that Im fat!. My friends tell me im being ridicoulous but Im really not!.
Please help me!. Am I anorexic!? I hardly eat because I realy want to be 5 stone!. Please help me xWww@Answer-Health@Com

I think average weight for teen girls your age should be around 100 lbs!. Not really sure what "stone" would equal to in pounds!.!.!.but it doesn't sound like that much!. If you're 13 yrs old, you need to be eating more because you are not done growing, by the time I was 13 I weighed about 110 lbs!.!.!.but I had muscle weight to take into account to!.!.!.plus I've been "top" heavy too!.

You might have a higher metabolism that would account to why you don't gain, but people with higher metabolism tend to eat more often!.!.!.4-5 small meals a day!.

Trust me sweetie!.!.!.you are NOT fat!. You are contradicting yourself in your message!.!.!. "I can see my reflection through the mirror and I look VERY fat!. I don't see how somebody that knows their arms and legs are skinny, can be considered fat!.!.!.I understand at a young age!.!.!.image is everything!.!.!.but you have so much more growing to do!.

I'm 25!.!.!.and I never want to be less than 140 lbs! But I like my curvy body, no wait!.!.!.I LOVE my curvy body!. I have to work at keeping myself from gaining too much!. But I don't beat myself up if I do!.!.!.I just work harder to lose the extra I gain!.

Try not to worry about what others are thinking!.!.!.confidence is everything!.!.!.you are happy with yourself!.!.!.others will see it! If you are unhappy with yourself!.!.!.people will know!. Be confident that you look great and people see that you look great!!! You are still very young, your body still has growing to do, trust me!.!.!.you have a long ways to go before you really need to think about whether you need to shed a few pounds!.!.!.even then!.!.!.do it with confidence!.!.!.and don't go over board about it!. If it's just 5 lbs!.!.!.then lose just that amount!

I'm sorry what you see in the mirror is not the reality, if your bones stick out and you need that many pairs of socks to fit your boots, trust that you do NOT need to lose ANY weight I promise!.
You may be on the path to anorexia, but I'm glad you can see that something's not quite right with how you're thinking currently!. please continue to eat and do sports! Don't try to lose weight, you're not fat :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have traits of anorexia and if you continue down this path, then yeah, you are anorexic!. I understand where you coming from with the eating only half of the food cause you get full easily!. I am just like that, I didn't like eating, most foods make me nauseous, and I am very picky with food!. I am not anorexic but I have traits of it but what not make us anorexic is that we're not starving ourselves with intense exercising!. But if you are afraid that you might be anorexic, please consult someone before it becomes worse because once your in it, it's hard getting out of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mmm!. If you always don't like what you see in the mirror I would say yes!. The fact that your worried about whether you are anorexic or not is good though!. I would say that you should work on how you see yourself by pointing out the things you like about your body!. Make a list and every day add one thing to the list!. A lot of people think anorexia is all about food and that it can be cured by just telling someone to eat more, but that is not the case!. Its about one person's self respect!. Also don't count calories and don't worry about what you eat!. Find foods that you really enjoy eating- you probably can afford to eat something you like thats a little unhealthy!.
