Answers:

There are several classic symptoms of a heart attack:
1. Severe, crushing pain in the center of your chest
2. numbness or pain in the left arm radiating toward your shoulder
3. shortness of breath (severe)
4. Severe pain in the jaw in conjunction with the other symptoms....
The good news is that all of these symptoms can be complications of other problems so just because you are having one or two doesn't necessarily signify heart disease or a heart attack.
Many symptoms of panic and anxiety can mirror heart attack symptoms and countless people end up in the E.R. every year as a result of 'heart attacks' that turn out to be gas (causes painful pressure in the chest) or anxiety attacks.
Heart problems in a 17 year old are very uncommon and would generally be something that was congential (you were born with it). The good news about that is that by age 17, if you had a cardiac problem, either a doctor would have caught it through routine checkups and physicals, or you would have already exhibited symptoms as the result of playing sports or exercising.
Anytime cardiac problems are suspected you should get a checkup, including an EKG and an Echocardiogram. Your doc can tell a LOT about your heart just by listening to it (for murmers, rhythm, etc) but these tests will rule out proper heart problems and help you rest easier.
Statistics are highly on your side that it's not something serious so rest easy but get in to see a doc when you can to make sure.
