I had my gallbladder removed 6 weeks ago!.

I was diagnosed as having gallstones, last August!. The pain was terrible!. I went on a fat-free diet, and then only ever had the pain when I'd eaten something containing fat (just ONE biscuit was enough to make me bad for 3 days!) I cut out the following:

Butter, margarine, ALL oils
cake, biscuits, puddings, chocolate, ice cream, etc
pastry, pies, quiche, pizza
burgers, bacon, sausages, all fatty cuts of meat!. I only ate chicken and turkey!.
curries, anything with creamy sauces or gravy

I made sure I only ate very plain foods!. I real all labels on food packaging, and only had things that contained 5gm or less of fat per 100gm!.

I lost 2 stone in 4 months (1st in the 1st month), and had keyhole surgery to have the gallbladder out!. I had LOTS of stones, but I recovered in 2 weeks, and feel great!. I can eat whatever I like now, although I am not going mad with it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ive had my gallbladder removed due to gallstone and the procedure was as straight forward as you can get so there's nothing to worry about !. i know the pain of these little blighters is sometimes unbearable (i once passed out) =0o
but the only thing that helped me was to rock back and forth on a radiator (i know it sounds weird but it worked) eating very little and often helps keep the attacks at bay aswell !.
hope she gets better soon xxWww@Answer-Health@Com

I have heard that gallstones are very common, and the surgery is pretty easy to recover from!. I have not ever heard of any complications from it either!. I hope mom feels better soon, Im sure shes feeling pretty poorly, Im sorry to hear that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
