Does anyone know of a place to purchase stylish Medic Alert bracelets or necklaces?
I just read a story about a man who is diabetic who was going into diabetic shock (really low blood sugar.) He was on an Amtrak train and thinking he was intoxicated, they put him off the train and he is now missing.
So..I think it's a good idea if I get a Medic Alert bracelet just in case. I've been diabetic for 21 years - Type 1.
The ones I've seen are just ugly stainless steel and I just wondered if anyone knew of a place (online or brick store) where stylish ones could be purchased.

Medic Alert has some nice ones...ranging from stainless steel to 14 kt gold. The nicer ones are more expensive though. Look around on the internet. There are other sites that sell stylish bracelets. I recommend Medic Alert because when you purchase a bracelet or pendant from them, you also get a membership card. When there is an emergency, Medic Alert is contacted and they have your medical records on file. They can supply any information needed to medical personnel.
