Scoliosis is a curve in the spine!. Usually girls and boys have tests every year for scoliosis when they are growing the most (11-16)!. When you have a test you have to take your top off and turn the other way!. Then you just bend down slowly and a nurse will look to see that your spine is properly alligned!.
Depending on how severe the curve is there are various options!. The most common is to just leave it, and as you grow keep having it monitored!. The curve may just grow out, or if it doesn't get any worse or cause you any pain then nothing will be done!.
However if it is painful, or if the curve is getting bigger, you may have to wear a corset brace type thing for a little while!. The other option which is VERY rare is to have surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Scoliosis is a problem with a curve in your spine!. People with scoliosis have a large curve in their spin in the shape of an "S" or a "C!." If it is severe, its really painful, and can make breathing difficult!. It is more common in females and usually starts between the ages of 8 and 10!. They find out if you have scoliosis through X-Rays, and by checking if your ribs are even, this does not require an X-Ray!. Mild cases do not require treatment!. You will, however, need to be checked every 4 to 6 months!. In moderate cases a brace is necessary, until you stop growing!. In severe, but rare, cases surgery is needed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
