i have not heard of breast cancer infecting teens. if it does, it must be very rare. Every matured woman, or even those who are younger, but who have strong family history, should learn to examine her breast on regular basis(when they are bathing).
What the doctor would initially do for a suspected breast mass is a fine needle aspiration biopsy. If the specimen would yield a negative result, an excision biopsy might still be needed.
A breast cancer can only be diagnosed by histopathogical studies. That is, the tissue specimen is sliced, stained, and studied under the microscope by a pathologist.
