Question: Can someone explain this-Pls!. note I dont think I have diabetes here goes!.!.!.!?
I started a low carb yesterday and couldnt do it so ultimately upped the carbs to 120g!. Even then I just couldnt sleep!. So I ate this energy bar which has around 88 calories and 18 g carbs at night!. I was more hungry after that and finally ate like 18 - 20 such bars!. Shocking! Each bars weighs 23g so it isnt a low-cal food!. This morning I woke up feeling really drowsy n sleepy!. I couldnt feel like getting up, also I overslept!. Is this high blood sugar!?!? Oddly I still feel like I need a coffee spike now!. Can someone explain!? Thanx!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are having a sugar crash of sorts!. These high energy bars cause your blood sugar to spike then crash low!. The dramatic fluctuation makes you feel bad!. Also, many "energy" bars are high in caffeine and will make you restless!. Clearly eating 18 - 20 of these things wasn't a good idea! Eating an energy bar prior to sleep doesn't make any sense - you don't need energy to sleep!. A cup of chamomille tea or small bowl of cereal, or some yogurt would be more logical!.

Ignore the posts about blood sugar testing because that clearly isn't your issue!. Your problem is that you over indulged in energy bars and had a bad side effect!. Stay off the energy bars - they just aren't healthy!. Going low carb is difficult, look for something else to fill you - a salad, peanut butter on celery, yogurt, cheese cubes!.!.!.!. Look up South Beach Diet or Atkins Diet, those are low carb diets and the books have ideas on low carb meals and snacks!. Even Weight Watchers can help you follow a low carb diet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it is high blood sugar!. but even then it requires proper testing of blood as well as consultation from Doctor!. Look, always feeling drowsy and sometimes such feeling shall have a different meaning !. If this drowsiness continues for more than a day or two, it means that you are carrying more calories than your body demands!. It means that you will fee drowsiness as well as slight pain in your headache !.
Better consult your doctor !. Alternatively as a precautionary measure start morning walk and exercise !. It will give you immediate relief!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only way to know is to test your bsl!. High carb foods are used before heavy excersize to sustain the body for energy!. without the workout your body stores all these carbs for fat making you feel tired and lazy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

doesnt seem to be a case of diabetes!. but still get a blood sugar test done!. it seems are suffering from Low Blood pressure!. try to eat salty peanuts before u go to sleep and see the diff!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
