Vein on palm of hand throbbing? Carpal tunnel?!

Question:

Vein on palm of hand throbbing? Carpal tunnel?

Hello,

I have a vein near my wrist that is having some inflammation and you can litteraly see it throbbing. Its a little painful but I dont know what it is. Im planning on going to see the doctor, but does anyone have any ideas? Could this be carpal tunnel?

Answers:

Carpal tunnel does not usually manifest itself in this manner.Normally the wrist and hand will be painful but not "throbbing" in the manner you describe.I've had both my hands done(successfully) and I hope you have just aggravated a nerve.Repetitive motion is the primary cause of carpal tunnel--hours on the computer, etc.
