Answers:
Salmonella is a species of bacteria!. It is NOT a virus!. Big difference there!!! It's like comparing a go-kart to a jumbo jet!.

I work in food safety and foodborne outbreak investigations, and frankly, it's unrealistic to ever think food is clean!. It grows out of the ground FFS! You always have to assume there's some grime, dirt and germs involved!.

We're just glad to have caught the problem quickly before many people got sick!.

It's important to cook things as heat kills germs!. Everytime you eat a rare burger or soft eggs, you're taking a chance on illness!. As for pistachios, you have the option of roasting them in a pan in your oven if you want to be sure!. I know 99!.9999999% of folks wouldn't think to do that, but it's there if you want!.

But before you get too mad at the food industry (you sohuld be rightfully mad, though -- if they were up to par, they wouldn't have this problem), don't forget that a lot of foodborne illnesses are caused by old-fashioned home cooking!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
