What to do when you have a flare up due to MS?!
Question:
What to do when you have a flare up due to MS?
Answers:
I presume you mean: how do you treat a flare up due to MS?
The usual way is with intravenous (into the veins) steroids (NOT muscle-building steroids, I promise!) for three days, which is followed by oral steroids (pills) over a few months. Thus, in an acute flare up, one is usually treated in hospital initially.
Note though that specific symptoms can also be targeted. For example, analgesics for pain, betablockers for tremors, antidepressants for depression, etc.
