I did a completely diffderent one to the others!. ( I'm 12)
First of course there was the blood test!.
Then I did a different scratch test/ hive test!.
They mix the things you could be allergic to onto different parts of your arm then make you wait about 30 minutes!. You're not allowed itch or you may interfere with the test- it's quite hard as after about ten minutes big, swelled hives appear on your arm (that is if you are allergic to the thing they put on your arm)
The nurse calls you back in and looks at your arm!. The things you ARE'NT allergic to stay hive free on your arm!. But for example if they put the nut mixture on one part and it turned into a huge hive, they would be pretty sure your allergic to it!. They have special tools to measure the hives and from that they can tell how serious the allergy is!.

From blood tests they have a scale and if it's anywhere over 20 then you have a HUGE allergy (one of mine was 100!!)

There's another one, the egg challenge!. IF you have a medium allergy to eggs they take you to do an egg challenge!. Yoy stay in the hospital for a day in total!. First they give you little buns with one type of egg in it!. If you stay okay for that they move you up to larger amounts of egg etc!. All the above tests are done on both adults and children!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

my son and i have had it done!.

all they do is mark your back with a washable marker!. then they prick you with a series of needles and each contains something different!. they put the prick right next to the dot they made with the marker!. Then they wait about 20 mins and go through a list of which is which and if you had a reaction to it!.

its not painful but, my son is only five and it was hell for him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For us, they did the blood test first!.

Then we did the scratch test cuz we had some false positives from the blood test,

It went as described above!. Just scratches on the back with a needle!. My son was 18 months old and he did very well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
