Should I throw away my toothbrush?!

Question: Should I throw away my toothbrush!?
I heard you could reinfect yourself if you're sick and use the same toothbrush!? Is this true and should I throw mine away!. Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
When in doubt, throw it out! Most people don't change their toothbrushes often enough anyway, so get into the habit of keeping several toothbrushes on hand so you won't hesitate to toss one when it gets a bit worn or if you have been ill!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is true, but since you are still sick, there is no point in tossing it just yet!. Instead, rinse your toothbrush under hot tap water to clean it, then put a little mouthwash in a glass, and stick your brush in the mouthwash, with the bristles submerged!. That will kill the germs and viruses on it!. Replace the mouthwash tomorrow, you just need enough to submerge the bristles!.

Just keep doing this until you are over the sore throat!. Then if you want to, get a new Oral B brush!. Their toothbrushes are easier on your gums and tooth enamel!.

I disinfect my toothbrush every night by soaking in mouthwash for a minute or two before putting it away to dry!. I let the mouthwash dry on the bristles!. If I have a cold or sore throat I submerge it overnight instead!.

You can buy little ultra violet lights that kill the bacteria on your brush!. You just rinse it clean and put it in this little device and its ready to go for the next brushing!. If you are really concerned, you could buy one of these lights, but I don't think its necessary!. The mouthwash seems to do the trick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you do not need to throw it away!.sticking your toothbrush in the dishwasher will sterilize it !.

The heated drying cycle is a great germ killer!. In fact, medical sterilizing companies use a similar process in an autoclave, to sterilize surgical instrumentsWww@Answer-Health@Com
