Is it possible to be allergic to water, or chemicals in the water?!

Question: Is it possible to be allergic to water, or chemicals in the water!?
Heyy so I'm wondering if its possible to be allergic to either water or like substances that are added to it

Everytime I take a shower, I come out and feel like ripping my skin off!. My shoulder blades, back, chest, arms, legs go all patchy white and some large red patches!. So itchy

So I decided to a process of elimination thinking it might be the temperature of the water or the soaps/shampoos!. I stopped using fragranted body soaps/shampoos but that didnt help, I tried doing a body scrub weekly, that didnt help!. Then I tried have a pure cold shower and that didn't help!. I also cut my showers down to like 8 minutes vs 30 that im usually in for, that did absolutely nothing!. So im soo confused

Also, when I was in Africa last year [Uganda] we were in remote parts of that country and we had to have bucket showers!. With water straight from a pump or even sometimes a river!. Ice cold but felt good!. NO ITCHING!. It was so weird, I never thought I'd love taking a shower in Uganda or Canada haha but I do

So now I'm wondering, if its maybe a chemical allergy or something, cause by the chemicals/substances added to the water here to make it 'healthy'!? I mean in Uganda they dont add anything, especially their river water lol

Its really unbearable!. Im trying to get back into my dermatologist but in London right now the wait is anywhere from 8 to 36 months!. Ridiculous, due to shortages of doctors

Any help would be appreciated! Also if it is maybe an allergy, what can i do so im not itchy!?

thanks

Answers:
Yes there are people with water allergies!!!

Maybe you could try buying several gallon jugs of water (purified/distilled/spring) and wash with them in the bath tub!. Or you could always try boiling the water that comes from your sink and bathe in it!. I know its more work than just jumping in the shower but if it bothers you bad enough i think you should try it!. Boiling the water will take out all the impurities, chlorine and chemicals the water is treated with!.

Good Luck

I don't know!. Try going to an allergist!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

sometimes the itchiness is caused by skin problem!. the reason it acts up is cause of the water you could have something like egsama that itches it is also shown in red patches on the skin!. you should try lotion after you get out of the shower!. and it was good that you don't use fragrented stuff cause that can make it worse!. try putting some kind of itch releiving ontment too!. mbey whil you in those far away places your skin got adjusted so that when you came back your skin got dries out or something, the chlorine dries out skin tooreally badly if things keep up you hould ask a doctor or something
same thing happened to me once hope it get better!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
