Steroid use and autism. Is there a connection?
If an adult athlete uses steroids, what's the likelihood of their child being diagnosed as autistic?
Can you name other athletes whose child(ren) have been diagnosed with autism? I wonder if there is a steroid, drug use connection?
These are professional athletes who have autistic children:
NFL players Merton Hanks, Rodney Peete, Doug Flutie and Dan Marino
Wrestler Chris Benoit
NHL hockey players Olaf Kolzig, Byron DaFoe and Scott Mellanby

Actually, it's 1 in 150. That's an old stat. 1 out of 94 boys.
No question is silly.
With autism an epidemic in this country, there are going to be plenty of pro athletes as well as parents of every profession with kids who are on the autistic spectrum. So no, I don't think there's a correlation.
