Oh hun! I'm so sorry that your hubby is ill! :( I personally, since he is a diabetic, would take him to the ER!. I would want to be safe!. They would be able to give him what he needs there!. I really hope that he recovers super fast! Best wishes to your family hun! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is no way to tell right now that he has salmonella or if he has a stomach bug!.

Food poisoning is not dangerous unless you become dehydrated!.It is important to consume 1-2 tablespoons of an electrolyte drink (Smart water, pedialyte, Gatorade etc) every 10-15 minutes ALL day!.Water does not contain electrolyte, but is a second best to an electrolyte drink!.

No juice, soda or dairy!.

Since he is diabetic, I would suggest calling the doc and asking for advice because this can cause complications!.

A anti emetic like Dramamine may help (if he can keep it down)

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try clear liquids and dry unseasoned foods!. Also try Pedialite!. I know it sounds weird, but it has tons of vitamins and minerals!. Lots of rest and nothing with too much acid in it!. For the diabetes if his blood sugar drops too low, try having him just suck on a hard candy like life savers!. Don't chomp on them, just let them dissolve!. It should help regulate it a bit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

argh, normally I would recommend lucozade or gatorade to get his electrolytes and fluids up but I don't know that they make a sugar free variety!. Plain boiled rice and toast to eat, if possible- nothing dairy or rich!. Coke is supposed to settle the stomach- so maybe diet coke!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
