try honey, lemon in hot water, and drink.
also try placing ice cubes on the bottom of your big toe. these are some of your pressure points and it can help. especially if you have a sore throat.
keep drinking lots of fluids (non-dairy) like juices and plain old water. stay away from "heavy' foods and rest! take it easy for a while
