Answers:

You don't say how old you are or how long you were smoking for. I had a similar episode but I had already been diagnosed as having COPD which is emphysema or chronic bronchitis. It is always caused by smoking. I have given up but too late to prevent lung damage, and that may be what has happened to you. My lungs only work to about 50% capacity and I have very little reserve if I do anything a little bit strenuous and easily get out of breath. It can be very restrictive at times. I have 3 different inhalers. They have helped a bit but the basic problem is still there. I had my heart all checked out too, at the moment that is OK.There is no cure for tis. You just have to adapt and live as best as you can within the limitations your condition creates, Good luck anyway.
