i think i might hae diabetes, but i'm way to scared to get blood test done, cause needles freak me out!.

Diabetes is diagnosed by the level of glucose in your blood!. There is no way to tell how much glucose is in your blood without removing some blood!. In order to diagnose diabetes your doctor needs a more accurate test than the simple finger prick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nope!. You can have the various symptoms, but only blood work will determine if you truly have it or not!. If you do, you'll need to work through your needle phobia because you'll be dealing with needles and finger pricks constantly!. If you don't have excessive thirst and urination, and if you're not feeling fatigue, I wouldn't worry about it!. Kids are freaking out constantly that every little symptom they have indicates diabetes (thank you Nick Jonas)!. You're likely just fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes they will test the urine (pee) to determine if you have diabetes!. Testing of the urine may tell if you have it, but sugar doesn't always show up in the urine!. So you could still have diabetes and the urine might not show it!. The best way to tell is with a glucose tolerance test!. When they do this, they take a blood sample several times during the test!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
They'll do a pee test first - check if there's any sugar in your urine!. If there is, you'll need to go for a blood test just to be sure - they'll check your HbA1C!.

A simple finger stick will give a glucose reading!. Might was well adjust if you ARE diabetic you will be testing multiple times a day, possibly doing multiple injections a day and having routine blood work at least a couple times a year!. A better question I think is WHY do you think you are diabetic!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
