Vrtigo in children. Dizzy every day in the morning?

my daughter is 15 and has had dizzy spells every morning for the last fortnight but befor that it was 3/4 times a week, each lasting about 1/2 hour to 4 hours long and then sleeping for 3 to 4 hours after, shes had an mri wailting for results that take 10 days , shes had two diff types of tablets to stop her feeling dizzy and sick, she also has headaces as well, i phoned Drs this morning to ask for help but up to now no phone call back, was told to ring back about 4 oclock if needed, any Drs or medics got any idea of what to do next apart from screaming and pulling my hair out.my child needs help fast she cant live her life like this ,school hloiday due soon, but wont be able to go if this continues, plus she has major epilepsy and takes med forthat, clobazam. oxycarbazapine, and keppra please help us some one.

thought a mrical had just happened Dr turned up at house after i called sugery, and said id take her to hosp a and e , any how he ask a few questions said he ytr and speak to her ent specalist and ring me back. he didnot examion child once stopped 5 mins and went. so once again we are sat waiting for an out come but it seems thankfully at the moment shes not dizzy but still has a head ache. thaNKS FOR THE HELP YOU HAVE GIVEN I WILL KEEP YOU UP DATED ON THIS. ttfn

At last an answer Dr rang back hes spoken to daughters ent Dr at Hosp and MRI scan is ok so its not vertigo thankfully it seems he thinks a bad infection of the inner ear, and has perscribed some antibiotics, so now its just a case of wait and see, as the lord would say let us all pray thanks every one TTFN.


Answers:

Ring your out of hours service and tell them what's going on and if they don't send someone asap you intend to take her to A&E they tend to listen then as they generally prefer their patients to be treated at home first unless they admit them. If you stll get no luck take her to the A&E Depatment at your local hospital tell them her symptoms are unbearable and she needs help now. It's not your fault that you GP is so unavailable and this poor girl needs help and advise now!
