been together long time...i have to tell him we have a std...i havent cheated and i dont know if he has...it was the first time i ever had a check up and i dont think he ever has.... so it could have been from years ago..have u been through this and what happened im worried...how to tell him...how will he react

What kind of STI do you have? You still have to tell him anyway. I haven't been through it but I am sure it's best to tell him.

Chlamydia is not "that" big deal compared to other Stis, but of course it can be quite annoying. The good news is that it can be curable, hardly may be, but it is curable at the end of the day. Tell him of course. He deserves to know. Do it regardless of his possible reaction, it's an obligation that you have to fulfill.

I suggest, since you're sexually active, that you HAVE TO get a full STI panel test + HIV ab test every 6 months. You and your partner should do it TOGETHER, and you can feel safe after as long as none of you is having sex out of your monogamous relationship.

Follow up with your doctor for chlamydia treatment, and note that it needs discipline and effort to be shifted out, as you will learn via more reading and via your doctor.
