Yeah, it's normal!. I bruise badly too when I get blood drawn and there's that purple spot in the middle from the needle!. Last time after a couple hours it hurt to move my elbow too which was weird because that's never happened before, but any discomfort that comes from blood getting taken goes away by the time you wake up the next day!.!.!. just the bruise sucks because it's ugly and it'll stay awhile, it does for me anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Generally bruising comes from the nurse having trouble finding a vein or improper needle placement!. It should start to fade within a day or two although it will still be visible!. Also some people are more prone to bruising than others!. As long it it starts to fade in a couple of days and doesn't swell or become more painful then you are fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes it common for people to bruise and be sore!. What can also have happened if not enough pressure was applied when the needle was coming out you could of bled under the skin!. I had mine done recently and the tech that drew my blood hit a nerve which hurt for days!. But we all have to go through it at some point!. You will be fine in a few daysWww@Answer-Health@Com

some people do bruise easliy when blood is drawn!. Also you oculd tensed up the muscle and this could have affected the vein and caused it to swell!. The nirse taking it could have also hit the vein wring!. It will be fine in a few days!. Just like any other bruise!. You'll be fineWww@Answer-Health@Com
