Is there a such thing a AdrR cells?!

Question:

Is there a such thing a AdrR cells?

Answers:

Well, not exactly. AdrR is an abbreviation for the chemo drug Adriamycin.

In research, MCF-7 human breast cancer cells sometimes show a resistance to adriamycin and so the cells were named MCF-7/AdrR cells or AdrR MCF-7 cells. That's the short version. I'm sure I've left tons out, especially since I don't think that term is used anymore . . .
