Stressed about ringworm help.?!

Question:

Stressed about ringworm help.?

3 weeks ago i got a little quarter sized circle that looked like ring worm, i went to the doctors a week later and he didnt think it was ringworm, instead he thought it was some kind of alergic reaction so he gave me some foam thingy. then i had to comeback 2 weeks. during the 2 weeks it almost disapeaered until i went and got sunburned, this made it really big like the size of a can. and he gave me some cream. well i really want to go out places but im so self concious about it. btw its on my shoulder. i cant go to the beach bc i dont want to get sunburned again and possibly make it bigger. i dont want to play spoirts bc i dont want to intefer with the healing process bc of sweat and clothing. so right now im sitting shirtless waiting for this thing to freaking disapear. how long does it take to heal with medication and what are some signs of healing? and when im in the shower, can i scrub it with soap or no? , what can i do to make it go away before next week? i want this thing gone!

Answers:

ok, the first 2 weeks do not count... the fungus was growing the whole time. When you started the anti-fungal cream is when the treatment began in reality. Give yourself a few days to have it start clearing up (so you are less contagious) and then live your life normally. The ring growing had nothing to do with the sun, and everything to do with you not being on the proper meds for your illness.
I am not worried about the sun making it grow, that is not possible! I am worried about you re-infecting yourself and infecting others! Are you also doing preventative measures like changing your sheets and shampooing with an anti- dandruff so the fungus will not spread to other places? Wear a shirt so you can not spread it to your friends or pets while you are treating it! Do not share your towel with anyone! (bath or beach!)Good hand washing after applying the cream is also important. Just bathe regularly. I would not scrub the area with anything and then use that same washcloth on any other area of my body, personally though.
Check your pets to make sure they do not have it (it should look like little, round ,hairless patches. Lysol anything that you might have had your bare shoulder on (sofa, etc) as well.
This is easy to treat, but a really annoying condition! lol!
Go to the beach, just keep a shirt on and don't share your towel or any other personal items!
