Gardasil related to heart block?!

Question: Gardasil related to heart block?
I was just thinking, and my mom kind of brought this to my attention as well... I had to get a cardiac pacemaker in October of 2009 due to complete heart block (3rd degree blockage). The doctor said that I must've been born with the blockage seeing a's though I'm only 17. But how would no one have noticed before at checkups when I was a kid, or the physicals I got when I wanted to play sports? A couple of years before I found out I had this problem, I was given the gardasil vaccine. Do you think these are related? Should I possibly consult with a lawyer?

Thank you.

Answers:

No. There is no connection between the vaccine and third degree heart block. There is no plausible mechanism for the vaccine to cause this. Heart block can either be acquired (caused by other heart problems or certain drugs) or congenital. At your age, with no other existing heart problems, your disorder is more than likely congenital. This isn't something you would pick up on a routine physical.

I have first degree heart block myself, -I'm athletic and it can be a fairly common finding in athletic people. Heart block basically means the hearts’ upper chambers do not send signals to the lower chambers of the heart at a normal rate, and in the case of third degree heart block sometimes not at all. In short, the SA node triggers electrical impulses through the upper chambers of the heart and passes it to the AV node, which conducts the electricity through the lower chambers of the heart. If this communication between the two does not occur as it should, or occurs at a very slow rate or it fails to communicate at all, this is known as heart block. There are three classifications- first, second and third degree. The degree of heart block basically represents the severity of the communication failure between the chambers.

In first degree heart block, all that's' happened is the signals pass at a slower rate than normal (but still communicate) therefore it’s generally of no consequence because the heart rate and rhythm are usually unaffected.

3rd degree block is a problem because there is complete failure of transmission of atrial impulses to the ventricles. This leads to bradycardia, heart dysfunction and ultimately, cardiac arrest. Whats likely happened is that you had 2nd degree block (where people can remain asymptomatic for periods of time and might only experience non-specific symptoms) and then progressed into third degree block.

I assure you, it has nothing to do with the vaccine.

I would like to share about gardasil vaccine :-
GARDASIL is the only human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine that helps protect against 4 types of HPV. In girls and young women ages 9 to 26, GARDASIL helps protect against 2 types of HPV that cause about 75% of cervical cancer cases, and 2 more types that cause 90% of genital warts cases. In boys and young men ages 9 to 26, GARDASIL helps protect against 90% of genital warts cases.

GARDASIL also helps protect girls and young women ages 9 to 26 against 70% of vaginal cancer cases and up to 50% of vulvar cancer cases.

It is not related to heart block. So you should consult with lawyer.

There are reports that Gardasil may cause nerve damage. Third-degree AV block, also known as complete heart block, is a medical condition in which the impulse generated in the SA node in the atrium does not propagate to the ventricles

It's more likely a congenital defect, you can consult a lawyer but I never knew many lawyers successful in suing god.
