Which is better for Diabetes: Insulin or Pills?
I've been told that Insulin is better because its a natural product....
Currently I am taking Actos+Met for my Diabetes, and also Quinipril to protect my kidneys from the Actos+Met.....(!)
A few years ago, I was on Insulin, and am considering going back.
Answers:
I personally would never use insulin if it could be controlled with meds or a ketogenic diet. Insulin drastically raises the risk of sudden death due to hypoglycemia.
If you can control the DM with oral meds, then take the time to research a ketogenic diet. I am off all DM meds since learning to eat a highfat very low carb diet. It is worth your time to research it.
