I've fainted 5 times today! What do I do?!

Question: I've fainted 5 times today! What do I do?
My Cardiologist has YET to call back [Called hours ago] neither has my Pediatrician >_< [I'm a minor ,yes]

I have POTS syndrome and I've been fainting so much lately. Hitting my head a lot, shoulder's, hips, the works!! I hurt all over -_-" He needs to call back. He's a fabulous doctor, Just Amazing [He diagnosed me within twenty minutes when countless doctors couldnt after 2 years], but he sucks at calling back quickly.

So I don't think I'm going to school tomorrow so five day weekend, but how can i stop fainting or at leat avoid getting hurt so badly!

Answers:

Have you been ill lately, or have you been lying or sitting down a lot lately? Anything that is likely to have knocked your equilibrium? Look at the triggers that cause you to faint ie standing, hot conditions, lack of food and fluids, or overeating, getting up suddenly.

Make sure you stay active but take care - when standing flex and move and walk on the spot. Avoid hot showers and hot conditions. Eat well and often and keep hydrated. When you get up from a sitting or lying position, take it slowly so you're body has time to adjust. You can manage this, but you need to listen to your body and do the thinking it normally would have done for you. Be attuned to your pulse, whether it is becoming more rapid, and how it feels to be dizzy and about to faint - before you get a chance to faint. If you feel the symptoms coming on, take emergency measures - sit yourself down on the floor or bed until you feel better, then slowly begin the process of getting up again. Don't be tempted to become a couch potato because you know it will only make things worse.
